November 20, 2009 · Leave a Comment

On Wednesday, November 18, the Largest Mixer® exhibited at the Santa Ana Business Connections’ Viva Orange County! Business Expo, presented by Allura Printing. The expo was held at the Doubletree Hotel and had over 80 businesses in attendance. Needless to say, the event was a fantastic opportunity to network with dozens of Orange County professionals.
After paying just a $5.00 admission fee, attendees not only had a chance to get some one on one networking time, but also an opportunity to enjoy free restaurant food samples and enter a raffle for some pretty nifty prizes (the grand prize was His & Her Citizen Watches provided by Teresa’s Jewelers).

Just a few of the sponsors and exhibitors in attendance were El Aviso Magazine, Marie Callender’s, and Union Bank.

Special thanks to Nancy Sandoval and Vince Brantley for throwing yet another successful business expo! We look forward to the next one!

Business networking shifted into high gear with Inland Empire’s Largest Mixer III®, bringing together local businesses representing hundreds of industries and companies in the Inland Empire.

The goal of Inland Empire’s Largest Mixer III® is to encourage membership in one or several chambers of commerce, allowing businesses to grow based on a wider network of support. Inland Empire’s Largest Mixer® took place on Wednesday, October 22, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Ontario Convention Center, 2000 E. Convention Center Way, Ontario, CA 91764.

This year, 2200 business people attended the third annual Inland Empire’s Largest Mixer®. Santa Ana Business Alliance features Dave Linden as Guest Speaker of the Business Alliance Speaker Series

October 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Yesterday, the Largest Mixer’s very own Dave Linden guest spoke at the Business Alliance Speaker Series. Hosted by the Greater Santa Ana Business Alliance, the event was entitled “How to Make Your Booth Sizzle.” As the title suggests, Dave spoke about the various dos and don’ts about how to really make your expo booth visible and get the most exposure possible.

A few highlights from the speech:
1) Have a goal. Whether it’s to grab 100 business cards, sign up 25 people to your e-newsletter, or whatever it may be, having a goal that you can actively try and meet during the event keeps both you and your employees more engaged throughout the entire process.
2) Have a hook AKA The Showstopper. Why are people going to want to come to your booth? Make sure you have something that everyone walking the floor will want to search down your booth for.
3) Dress the part. Don’t necessarily feel obligated to wear a suit for the day. Even though we’re in the business of doing business, the mixer is also about having fun. Maybe you could wear some clothes that feature your company’s logo? Or maybe you could even have costume clothes to grab attention. Whatever you decide to wear though, make sure that it’s a good reflection of your company.

Just a few of the people that we ran into were Warren Hoffnung, CEO of My Wrapper, Barry V. Fidel of Cards From Barry, and Grace Manzano, Director of Operations of California Dental Group.

We’d like to extend a special thanks to Nancy Sandoval for putting together a great event!

Hilton Ontario Airport Hosts Inland Empire’s Largest Mixer III’s VIP Kick-Off Event

October 2, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Yesterday, the Largest Mixer threw its VIP Kick-Off Event for Inland Empire’s Largest Mixer III. Hosted by the Hilton Ontario Airport, the event drew in over 100 sponsors and exhibitors of the upcoming mixer on October 22 for an exclusive night of networking. As the Hilton Ontario Airport was recently renovated, the venue itself was spectacular (as I’ve already mentioned before in a previous post but wanted to reiterate because the venue really is just that great!). Crab cakes, beef sliders, dim sum, and hand carved beef wellington were just a sampling of the fantastic spread of food that the Hilton provided.

In addition to the wide variety of delectable treats, the VIP Kick-Off Event also featured a business card drawing giveaway. We’d like to congratulate all of our lucky winners, and also thank everyone who graciously donated giveaway prizes.

Attendees of the VIP Kick-Off all received a chance to visit the booths and network with Farmers Insurance Group, KTIE-AM, eTicketFarm, Brian Goodwin of Health Markets, LocalSplash.com, Press Enterprise/Business Press, Daily Bulletin/The Sun/Redlands Daily Facts, Hilton Ontario Airport, Four Quick Clicks, Inland Empire Business Journal, and TEAM Referral Network.

Regional Chamber of San Gabriel Valley Hosts San Gabriel Valley Business Expo

September 17, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Yesterday the Largest Mixer attended the first ever San Gabriel Valley Business Expo at the Pacific Palms Hotel and Conference Center. Hosted by the Regional Chamber of San Gabriel Valley, the event was a fantastic opportunity to meet business professionals and get a taste of what the San Gabriel Valley is all about.

As the Regional Chamber of San Gabriel Valley is also a part of the Largest Mixer, it was great running into so many familiar faces. SpeedZone, a Largest Mixer participant, was actually a sponsor of the business expo! Send Out CardsSee’s Candy, and Waddell and Reed were just a few of the other familiar companies that we bumped into.

We’d like to thank and congratulate Heidi Gallegos for putting together a fabulous event. Meeting the people of the San Gabriel Valley area was definitely a pleasure. We look forward to the next one!

September 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Yesterday the Largest Mixer attended the Ontario Chamber Mixer (co-sponsored by the Inland Empire Business Journal) at the Hilton Ontario Airport Hotel. As the Hilton was recently renovated, the venue of the mixer was superb. As if the Hilton wasn’t already one of the most beautiful hotels in the industry, it now exudes even more of a stylish and sophisticated air than ever before. Almost any business event including conferences, holiday parties, and meetings, would be a perfect occasion to book the Hilton. The hotel staff pulled out all the stops for the mixer and provided some  fabulous food including sushi, a carving station, and an array of desserts.

Just a few of the people we ran into at the mixer were Michael T. Bailey, Senior Financial Advisor of Ameriprise Financial, Jose Becerra of Aflac, and Mary Hollenbaugh, Retail Sales Manager of the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (proud media sponsor of Inland Empire’s Largest Mixer).

We’d like to thank Neil Poisson and Bette Gill for organizing such a  fantastic event. We look forward to the next one! We’d also like to thank William Anthony of the Inland Empire Business Journal for all of his help in making the mixer a successful event.

For those of you reading this who are current exhibitors for Inland Empire’s Largest Mixer III, get excited because the big VIP Kick-Off Event is also going to be held at the Hilton Ontario Airport Hotel in just a few weeks! For those of you reading this who aren’t signed up to be exhibitors yet, we still have some booths available, so hurry to make sure you’re included in this special event! Look forward to seeing you all there!

(For information on how to get the Hilton Ontario Airport included in your next event, call 909-980-0400 and ask for Bette Gill).
